How to Hold Drumsticks Using the French Grip

The french grip is not a very popular way of holding drumsticks, however I have included it here for completeness. This french grip has a totally different feel from the traditional grip and the match grip. This is because you will use your fingers to control the drumstick.
Although there are several advantages to using your fingers, such as added endurance, there are also disadvantages. The main disadvantage of the french grip is that it can be difficult to get power into your strokes.
